In August 2001, Bobby James, owner of Harps Restaurant
in Bandon's Old Town, commissioned Kent to paint a mural, based
on the Bandon Historical Society Museum's black and white panoramic
photograph taken after a 1914 fire in the Old Town waterfront.
The Museum provided additional photos to determine building details,
locations, and clothing fashions of that time. This unique painting
is now on perpetual display at "The Barn," Bandon's
Community Center, courtesy of Gregory, Norma and Bobby James.
Kent's family and friends are gratified to know that his mural
will finally be seen and appreciated for years to come. A six
foot by one foot print of the mural is available on request. Price
to be determined
There are a few prints and photographs of Kent's artwork for sale at the Jetty Studio and at Raincoast Arts Gallery in Langlois. (541-348-9992) |
